Moving beyond the Green Wall.
Wandering the woodlands for wellbeing.
We all know time spent outside is good for us, it was one of the few reasons we were allowed out a few years back, it's where we are naturally developed to be.
Science shows that time spent in nature is beneficial for us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually (no matter the belief system we have) but it's not just the scientific tangible data that can be referred to for this but also the way we feel when we are out in nature.
We get a boost when we are outside but there's a deeper level of wellbeing that can be experienced when we move off the beaten path and through the green wall.
What is the Green Wall?
The green wall is how we usually perceive the borders of the path, literally a wall of green.
It's unknown, unfamiliar, unnamed and uninviting however it's also the barrier to truly invigorating and enriching opportunities of nature reconnection.
Through my substack I want to share my own practices, theories and experiences as well as the opportunity to hear the feedback of the readers of the articles I write.
Some of this will be simple, some more complicated but all will help foster a greater sense of connection with nature.
I'm looking forward to sharing these practices as they're the work of a life spent in nature, in all seasons and all weather. They've proven time and again to me that they work, as well that the experiences I have had using them are transferable and are as effective for others who use them.

Love this Sam and well done for getting going!
